Description:

Blindspott was a nu metal/alternative rock band from Waitakere, New Zealand. They were formed in 1997, originally consisting of Damian Alexander (vocals), Shelton Woolright (drums), Marcus Powell (guitar, backing vocals), Gareth Fleming (bass) and Karl Vilisini aka DJ Dlay (Turntables, Keyboards. Blindspott had a break through single with 'Nil By Mouth' in 2001 which gained major airplay on TV and radio alike. Other hits released during 2001-2003 were 'Room to Breathe', Top 10 single 'Phlex', 'Blank', 'S.U.I.T' and 'Lit Up'. Their self titled debut album (2002) reached number 1 in its first week of release in New Zealand and they have had another top 10 single- Phlex.
